Are you registered to vote? The 2017 Mayoral Election is right around the corner and the deadline to register to vote is October 9.
To help residents get registered, the Lansing City Clerk's orange voter registration tent will be out front of the Arts and Sciences building at Lansing Community College's downtown campus September 19 and 20 from 9-4.
There will be voter registration forms on-site, applications and information on absentee voting.
“We need to engage and communicate with first time and infrequent voters,” said Lansing City Clerk Chris Swope. “Over 2,000 18-21-year olds are estimated not to be registered to vote in the City of Lansing. I am proud to work with Lansing Community College to connect with some of these citizens who may be attending LCC. We want to make it convenient as possible to become engaged.”
