OKEMOS, Mich. — There is an update on a major development plan for downtown Okemos.
The Meridian Township Board of Trustees says it could vote to approve the plan as soon as July 9.
Before that happens the public will get a chance to speak out on "The Village of Okemos" project, next month.
The $100-million plan calls for several buildings to be demolished at the Okemos and Hamilton Rd. intersection.
Seven new buildings would be built there to house shops, restaurants, apartments, and the Douglas J Salon.
