Volunteers needed for community Easter dinner

Posted

Queen's Church in Jackson is looking for volunteers to help make its community-wide Easter dinner a success.

The dinner is set for Sunday, March 27 at 2 p.m. at Queen's Social Center at 811 South Wisner Street in Jackson.

Volunteers are needed on Sunday from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. to help with everything from greeting dinner guests to helping to serve the family-style meals or coloring with the children.

Decorating help is needed from 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. Saturday, March 26 in Queen's Gym. Donations of salads and desserts would be appreciated and can be delivered to Queen's School Cafeteria on Saturday 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. and Easter Morning from 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

To volunteer for this event, please call John Clary at 517-524-7572 or sign up online, which we've put a link to in this article.

If you would like to attend the dinner or know someone who has nowhere else to go on Easter Sunday, call 517-784-9212 for reservations and let them know if transportation is needed.

Please Note: Doors will not open until 1:15 p.m. and a single seating for dinner is at 2:00 p.m.
