LANSING, Mich. — It's getting harder and harder to get volunteers these days and Sparrow Hospital is feeling it.
Sparrow Hospital says that they were founded by volunteers.
However, "The growth of the "Sandwich Generation" and grandparents helping care for grandchildren is having an impact on retaining the hundreds of volunteers needed by Sparrow everyday."
On Wednesday, the hospital hosted a discussion on volunteers and how to retain that important life force to the hospital.
They also went over volunteer opportunities available at Sparrow.
