A vigil was held Sunday night to remember the victims of a double murder-suicide Friday at a residence in Lansing.
Over 100 people gathered at Truman Circle in Lansing.
The event started around 9:15 p.m.
Those in attendance released balloons and sky lanterns into the air to remember the victims.
Police have identified the first victim as LaToy Mesha Tate, a 29-year-old Lansing woman. Ms. Tate lived at the home where the crime took place in the 2900 block of Truman Circle.
Police have identified the second victim as Xazier Charles Dean, a 25-year-old Lansing man, who also lived at the home.
The suspect has been identified as Marcus Jamal Osby, a 28-year-old Lansing resident.
Police say the investigation is still in its preliminary stages and is ongoing.
