The body that would found Thursday, February 25th in a burned vehicle in Blackman Township has been identified as Michael Alan Budds. The 53-year-old man was from Redford Township.
The identity of the victim was determined by the Jackson County Medical Examiner's office, with the assistance of the Michigan State University Forensic anthropology Department.
The cause of death has not yet been determined.
Budds owned the house in the 7000 block of Deweese Road where his body was found inside a burned vehicle. He was in the process of renovating the house with the intention of moving there.
