The Lansing City Council will try to override Mayor Virg Bernero's golf course veto Wednesday.

The mayor vetoed part of the city budget that would have left the Groesbeck Golf Course under control of the parks and rec department.

He wants the Lansing Entertainment and Public Facilities Authority to run it and focus on making the course self-sufficient.

Opponents on the council need six votes to override the veto.

We'll let you know if they get them.
