Vandals spray paint graphic images at Loomis Park

JACKSON, Mich. — Jackson police are asking for help to find whoever is responsible for vandalizing a popular park.

As Fox 47's Cryss Walker reports, parents are outraged by what their children saw.

A place where kids come to play is now scarred with an image that's far from innocent.

Graffiti is covering a playground at Loomis Park and parents say the marks left behind are no laughing matter.

“X-rated images come on,” said Jackson father Justin Davidson.

“I mean why defame a park? What are you gaining from that?”

Police say the sexually suggestive illustration and other content was discovered Tuesday night following a destruction of property complaint.

It appears someone made an attempt to scrub away the obscenities but more work needs to be done.

Fox 47 reached out to the Parks and Recreation Department to find out when the site will be cleaned but we're still waiting for a response.

Another case of vandalism was also reported on Jackson's south-side near a new community mural.

People who live nearby say the building on the 1300 block of MLK Drive was spray painted sometime this week.

If you have any information on either incident call Jackson Police.
