LANSING, Mich. — Soon drivers won't need change to pay for meter parking in Lansing.
The mayor announced the city is planning on rolling out an app in Summer 2019, allowing people to pay at parking meters with their phone.
"Once you have parked your car in our downtown, this summer we will finally be unveiling a parking app that will allow you to pay for parking through your smart phone," said Andy Schor at his State of the City address. "This will be a tremendous asset for our downtown businesses and visitors, and we look forward to moving our parking system into the 21st century."
