UPDATE: Wheatfield Township homicide suspect arraigned

The Ingham County Sheriff's Office has identified the suspect from Friday's homicide in Wheatfield Township as 19 year old Andrew David Willson.

Wilson is accused of killing his 51-year-old mother, Lisa Willson. The two lived in the home where Lisa Willson was killed, on Linn Road.

Andrew Willson called 911 7:00 a.m Friday to report that his mother had been killed. Deputies found Lisa Willson dead, she had been shot in the head. They later arrested Andrew Willson.

Andrew was arraigned Monday in the 55th District Court on 1 count of Open Murder and 1 count of Felony Firearm. He is being held without bond.

Update: The Ingham County Sheriff's Office has identified the woman as Lisa Marie Willson.

Authorities have also said that Willson died as a result of a gunshot wound and further information on the suspect they have in custody will be released after arraignment.

The arraignment is expected to take place sometime on Monday.

Police are investigating a homicide in rural Ingham County near Williamston.

They were dispatched to the 200 block of Linn Road in Wheatfield Township on Friday. Ingham County deputies found the body of a 51-year-old woman there.

They are not releasing her name at this time. They have a suspect in custody. Investigators believe the suspect and victim knew each other.

They are not saying how.
