Two people are dead following a two-vehicle crash in Eaton County Sunday afternoon. Police confirmed Monday morning that they are John Gutierrez and Nancy Gutierrez of Charlotte. Both were 69-years-old.
First responders were called to the intersection of South Clinton Trail and East Bellevue Highway around 3:45 p.m. where a teenager didn't stop at a stop sign.
Michigan State Police said an 18-year-old driver was driving on the highway, ran the stop sign, and hit the Charlotte couple's vehicle headed south on Clinton Trail.
The teen suffered minor injuries, according to emergency officials on scene.
Troopers said alcohol is not suspected in the crash. No one has been charged at this time.
