LANSING, Mich. — Police responded to a call of a possible shooting on Lafayette Avenue between Grand River and Delta River Drive around 5. Police arrived on the scene to reports of shots fired. Police then took one suspect into custody and there were no injuries.
Police then responded to a shooting on Paulson Street, three miles away from the Lafayette shooting. According to police a 24 year old Lansing man was shot in the leg but was not hospitalized and treated on scene. Police say the victim returned fire but the suspect was not hit.
The incident is believed to be started from a road rage incident and police say the two shootings were not connected in any way.
