UPDATE - Suspect in Tuesday's murder in Delta Township arraigned

CHARLOTTE, Mich. (WSYM) -- UPDATE: Nathaniel Bowers, 23, of Detroit was arraigned Friday for Open Murder and Felony Firearm charges.

The charges stem from the July 11 shooting death of Trevon McDuffy, 22, of Lansing.

Bowers turned himself in to authorities at 1:30 p.m. Friday.

Bond was set at $5 million. A probable cause Conference is scheduled for Monday, July 24, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. A Preliminary Examination is to be determined.

The suspect in Tuesday's deadly shooting outside a convenience store has been arrested and is being brought back to Eaton County to face charges. Nathaniel Bowers was caught in the Detroit area.

Prosecutors say he shot and killed Trevon McDuffy in the parking lot of the Quicky Convenience Store on Waverly Road Tuesday afternoon. Investigators believe the two men knew each other but they are not saying what led to the shooting or how they identified Bowers as a suspect.
