The stand-off in Grand Ledge is over.

Police have arrested a man that was held up in a truck near the Big L business since almost 10 a.m. Tuesday morning.

The man was identified as Robert Toth. Toth was wanted for escaping police earlier this week and taking their taser.

An officer was trying to arrest Robert Michael Toth around 3:00 a.m in Ovid early Monday on an outstanding felony warrant. A struggle ensued, and Toth was able to get away.

Police were in the area looking into reports of car larcenies when they spotted Toth riding a bike, with gloves on and holding a flashlight. When they approached him and asked what he was doing, he was evasive. When they tried taking him into custody, they got one handcuff on him and even tased him. Although, due to the struggle, the officer was also tased.

The officer went to the hospital but was released the same day and is okay.

FOX 47 was on the scene near Orchard Street and Clinton in Grand Ledge all afternoon.

Our reporter could hear a lot of yelling between the officers and the suspect. Even the suspect yelling out to the police that he wanted water.

The Eaton Co. Sheriff's office told FOX 47 that the original call was for a warrant pick up at 10:11 AM.

A witness told FOX 47 that she could see the situation happening from her work on Clinton. She told us that there were dogs and officers on the scene and they were surrounding what she called a "box truck."

FOX 47's Megan Hiler will have more on the story on FOX 47 at 10 PM.
