LANSING, Mich. — Severe thunderstorms ripped through Mid-Michigan causing damage and flooding.
There's flooding on Grand River Road between East Lansing and Lansing.
In the 600 block of Barnes Street in Mason, a huge tree has split in half in front of a home. Two trees fell on top of another house in Mason.
Tree damage was reported over the road on I-69 south of Marshall. Southbound I-69 south of Kalamo Highway has grain silo damage.
Roof damage is reportedly due to a fallen tree near Ivanrest and 44th street in Grandville. The area reported 75 mile per hour winds.
In Eaton Rapids, on Ferris Road, a tree split in half, took out a power line and broke a power pole.
Multiple reports of downed power lines and trees are being reported in Hillsdale.
Traffic officials are warning drivers to avoid the Bellevue area due to storm damage causing multiple downed trees and power lines.
Consumers Energy is reporting power outages in Olivet, Bellevue, Brookfield Township and Charlotte. Consumers is also reporting power outages just east of Mason.
Officials in Eaton County are advising residents in Potterville to take shelter.
