LANSING, Mich. — Last night we reported on a large police presence in Lansing. Below is an update to this story.
The Lansing Police Department is investigating a domestic dispute that resulted in shots being fired Wednesday.
Lansing police tell FOX 47 officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 700 block of West Shiawassee Street at approximately 7:38 p.m.
A fight over mutual property broke out between a 20-year-old pregnant woman and a man she has a domestic relationship with, police said.
Several people then began fighting and several shots were fired.
No one was shot but the 20-year-old pregnant woman was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Lansing's Special Tactics and Rescue Team (START) team was used to search a residence for a suspect. A short time later, officers armed with rifles and body armor went inside the home, but the suspect was not inside, police said.
No arrests have been made and police are working to identify the parties involved in the large fight.
Lansing police say this is an isolated incident and there is not a threat to the public.
