JACKSON, Mich. — Jackson Police have released the name of the 58-year-old man who was a victim of a homicide
His name is Steven Edward Adkins.
Police have arrested a 51-year-old man in connection with the crime.
Police determined that Adkins had been involved in a physical fight with the suspect about three hours earlier, inside a home on West Franklin Street in Jackson.
Police say that Adkins was found in his bed by acquaintances before 911 was called.
Jackson Police say Adkins had serious injuries that were consistent with being assaulted.
An autopsy on Adkins is scheduled for Monday afternoon.
