LANSING, Mich. — The Lansing Police Department is investigating an armed robbery at a gas station on the city's southside.

Officers were called to the Speedway gas station, located at 6736 S Cedar St, for a report of an armed robbery around 3:30 a.m. on Monday, July 22.

A man walked into the store, pulled out a gun and demanded money from a gas station clerk, police said.

The suspect ran away with an undisclosed amount of money from the store.

No one was hurt in the robbery.

The Lansing Police Department brought in a K9 unit to track the suspect but the search was not successful.

Officers are reviewing surveillance video from the store to help in the investigation.

You can see the suspect in the attached photo.

Police say that the suspect has tattoos on both hands, and Detective/Sgt. Johnson is asking for the witness that you can see on the floor, to come forward.

Anyone with information regarding the robbery is asked to call the Lansing Police Department at 517-483-4600.
