WHEATFIELD TWP., Mich. (WSYM) -- Update: The Ingham County Sheriff's Office has identified the woman as Lisa Marie Willson.
Authorities have also said that Willson died as a result of a gunshot wound and further information on the suspect they have in custody will be released after arraignment.
The arraignment is expected to take place sometime on Monday.
Police are investigating a homicide in rural Ingham County near Williamston.
They were dispatched to the 200 block of Linn Road in Wheatfield Township on Friday.
Ingham County deputies found the body of a 51-year-old woman there.
They are not releasing her name at this time.
They have a suspect in custody.
Investigators believe the suspect and victim knew each other. They are not saying how.
