UPDATE: Police identify homicide victim

LANSING, MI (WSYM) - UPDATE 12:00 PM

Lansing Police have identified a man who died after a shooting on Saturday February 11, 2017, at around 3:30 p.m. near a barbershop on East Kalamazoo in Lansing.

According to Lansing Police Chief Mike Yankowski, 29-year old Dominique Laurenz Simmons of Lansing died as a result of his injuries.

The other two victims suffered non-life threatening injuries and are in stable condition.

Lansing Police Department Officers, Detectives, and Crime Scene Investigators from the Michigan State Police continue to investigate this shooting. An autopsy will be conducted in the very near future by the Ingham County Medical Examiner’s Office. No arrests have been made at this time.

One man is dead and two others were injured in a shooting near the Kutt II Beauty & Barbershop.

Police responded to the the 1600 block of East Kalamazoo Ave. around 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

The shooting happened during an altercation inside the barbershop.

The victim is being identified as a 29-year-old man from Lansing who was dropped off at the hospital.

An 18-year-old Lansing man and 23-year-old Detroit man were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

No barber shop employees were injured in the shooting.

Arrests have not been made at this time.
