UPDATE: Police ID Jackson shooting victim; suspect remains at-large

JACKSON, Mich. — The Jackson Police Department is investigating a homicide after a 26-year-old man was found dead in a parking lot that's shared by several businesses.

On Friday, police identified the victim as Trevor Jackson, who was from Jackson.

Officers were dispatched to the parking lot in the 600 block of North West Avenue around 12:15 a.m. Thursday, July 11, for reports of a shooting.

The Jackson Police Department tells News 10 Jackson was found shot in the head in a parking lot behind Simple Flooring Solutions.

The parking lot is shared with Robin's Roost, Roxy Cafe, and Wild Bill's Tobacco.

Jackson was pronounced dead at the scene, Jackson police said.

The shooting is under investigation and no arrests have been made at this time.
