The Lansing Police Department has arrested a person of interest in a Friday shooting that was deemed "suspicious" by police.
The shooting occurred in the 400 block of W. Lapeer road.
When police arrived on scene, they located a 27-year-old male victim with a gunshot sound.
The victim, Anthony Lorenzo Yarber of Lansing, was transported to a local hospital and was pronounced dead.
The suspect who has not been named, was taken into custody Saturday evening in South Lansing.
Police say he was taken into custody without incident.
Monday, Lansing Police investigation/case/reports will be turned over to the Ingham County Prosecuting Attorney to review on possible criminal charges.
