UPDATE: No serious damage in recent incident at Quality Dairy

We have an update on a reported drunken incident at a Lansing Quality Dairy store brought to you on November 14, 2017.

We originally reported that the suspect was upset the Quality Dairy on Washington and Jolly was not open, leading to him smashing out the window. 

We have new information that states this did not happen and there was no significant damage to the Quality Dairy. 

Below are updated facts about the incident:

  • At 2:31 a.m. on November 14, an individual attempted to break out the glass in the entrance to the Quality Dairy at 720 W. Jolly Road, which was closed. 
  • The safety glass in the door did not break and the suspect did not enter the store. 
  • Alerted by a 911 call, officers from the Lansing Police Department in the immediate area arrested the suspect on-site. 
  • The suspect has been charged with Malicious Destruction of Property over $100 and Attempted Breaking and Entering.
