An 18-year-old Munith woman died Thursday night after sliding off an icy road and hitting a tree.

On Monday, authorities released the woman's name.

Hannah Glair, a student at Stockbridge High School, died in the accident.

Authorities were called to the scene at 10:45 p.m Thursday on Territorial Road near Bunkerhill Road in Jackson County's Henrietta Township.

The Jackson County Sheriff's Office says the woman was driving a 2013 Honda sedan east on Territorial when she lost control, left the roadway and struck a tree. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities say icy road conditions appear to be a factor in the crash. It remains under investigation.

Fire personnel from the Henrietta Township Fire Department also responded to the crash.
