UPDATE - MSUFCU robbery suspect in custody

The woman suspected of robbing a Michigan State University Federal Credit Union is in custody.

The suspect entered the credit union on 16861 Marsh Road in Haslett at 1:43 p.m. Saturday August 19.

A note was handed to the teller indicating the suspect would use a bomb if money was not handed over.

After a teller handed over an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect walked out the front door and took off in a black 2018 Kia Optima with no license plate.

The vehicle has a long white decal with no print running from the front driver’s side fender to the rear of the driver’s side door.

During the investigation Bath Township Police received numerous tips identifying the suspect in the surveillance video. The suspect is a female from Morrice, Michigan. She was taken into custody during a search of her residence Thursday at 1:50 p.m.

She's currently being held at the Clinton County Jail. Her name will not be released until she is arraigned on August 25.
