The Eaton County Sheriff says the 2-year-old boy who had been missing for several hours Wednesday afternoon was found safe, and returned to his family.
He had walked away from his home south of Charlotte, and his dog was with him. The dog, a Great White Pyreness, never left his side.
He was located by the Grand Ledge National Guard helicopter in a corn field, not far from his home.

A 2-year-old boy named Maddox is missing from Broadway and Victorian Lane south of Charlotte.
He was last seen wearing a blue flannel button up and tan pants.
He has blonde hair and blue eyes and answers to the name of Doc.
He is probably with a very large white (Great White Pyreness) dog named Roland.
