Authorities say a man serving a life sentence in the death of his estranged wife led authorities to where he buried her body in Michigan eight years ago in exchange for an Xbox.
State Police say they found the remains believed to be of Venus Stewart in Kalamazoo County on Monday.
She disappeared in Colon Township back in 2010.
Her husband, Doug Stewart, was convicted of killing her in 2011 but her body hadn't been found. Stewart was living in Virginia when Venus Stewart was killed.
State Police say that Stewart led officers to her remains buried in a deep grave in a wooded area on Monday in Kalamazoo County.
Investigators say the remains would have never been found if he hadn't.
Doug Stewart had long maintained that he hadn't been involved in her killing.
He says things changed when his sister began to reconcile with his wife's family. He says he hopes to make amends.
Tests are being conducted on the remains, but police are confident they've found Venus Stewart.
