BATH TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Thanks to the help of all of you, the men that the Bath Township Police Department were looking for were both identified.

Two men were seen in footage from trail cameras from around the area where a hunter was killed in Bath.

After Bath police posted images to their Facebook page asking for help identifying them, one of the men reached out to police and the other was identified by family members.

The men are not suspects but were being sought to find out if they had any information that might be useful in the investigation.

"I was pretty surprised how quickly they reached out to our department and were identified. But, with the outreach we have without social media, you know, that's been a great tool for us," said Bath Township Police officer Avery Lyon.

Police aren't releasing information about the individuals, but say they either came forward or were identified by someone who saw the post.

For the Yang's, it's a small step in the right direction and a glimmer of hope.

"It feels good. It's been a cold winter few days here and to have a ray of hope and a ray of sunshine on this case helps us feel better about ourselves and feel better that we are getting a step closer to finding out the individual or individuals who did this," said Joseph Yang, the hunter's cousin.

Police have not released any details about the conversation.

There is a reward of nearly $9,000 for information that helps police find Yang's killer.

He was killed at the Rose Lake State Game Area on Nov. 16.

Chong Moua Yang was 68 years old when he was shot to death while hunting.
