The Lansing Police Department says a standoff at a Lansing home ended after about three hours on Wednesday.

It began around 1 p.m. when LPD received a tip that a parole absconder was at a house in the 1300 block of West Saginaw Street in Lansing.

When police arrived, the 34-year-old man, Eugene Jonas Hicks, ran inside, police said.

Police knew he had a history of being armed and they set up a perimeter around the house and called in the SWAT team.

Saginaw Street between Pennsylvania Avenue and Marshall Street was closed at around 3:11 p.m. for a few hours.

Police said they found the man and another man, 28-year-old Nicholas James Wilson of Lansing, wanted for felonious assault, inside the home.

HIcks came out of the house first and was arrested. Later, Wilson came out and was also arrested.

An arraignment and charges should happen on Thursday.

No one was injured.
