LANSING, Mich. — A Lansing man had to be taken to the hospital Thursday night after he was hit by a car.
The Lansing Police Department was dispatched to the intersection of Cedar and Paris around 8 p.m. for a report of a man in a wheelchair being hit by a car.
Lansing police told FOX 47 the 49-year-old man was leaving the liquor store and rode out in the middle of traffic before being hit by a vehicle heading south on Cedar.
The man was taken to the hospital, and police say is in critical condition.
The Lansing Police Department tells News 10 the victim had been drinking before the accident occurred, but the driver of the car was not believed to be under the influence.
