Jackson High School and Bennett Elementary School are no longer on lockdown.
A tweet was sent by Jackson High to parents just after 11:30 on Friday afternoon.
The tweet read:
Please be advised that the lockdown at the High School was due to a shooting in the Reed Manor Apartment Complex, not in a JPS Building.
It was then corrected to say: Shooting not at Reed Manor but rather on Oakhill St. Lockdown still enforced at JHS and Bennett.
FOX 47 has sent a crew to the location.
We found out just after 12:20 p.m. that the lockdown at the schools was lifted.
