UPDATE: Lansing Police say argument preceded Wednesday morning shooting

LANSING, Mich. — The Lansing Police Department is investigating a shooting on the city's north side.

Lansing police tell News 10 officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 800 block of North Seymour Avenue at 2:43 a.m. Wednesday.

After arriving on scene, officers found two men who were shot in a nearby backyard.

The police report that the first victim appeared to have a wound on his lower torso.

The second victim, according to authorities, had a wound to his lower leg.

Lansing police say the men were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

No arrests have been made at this time.

However, police believe the suspect entered the residence and got into an argument with the two victims.

They also believe that the confrontation turned physical and led to the shooting of both men.

Police add that this shooting is not believed to be random and there is no threat to the public.
