An officer with the Lansing Police Department had to be taken to the hospital after being involved in an accident.
The accident between the police cruiser and a pick-up truck happened at the intersection of South Martin King Jr. Boulevard and Ferley Street around 10 p.m. Wednesday.
Lansing police tell us the officer's injuries are not serious. The two men riding in the truck were not hurt.
Michigan State Police are handling the investigation at this time.
