PERRY, Mich. — A piece of history on the city of Perry's budgetary chopping block -- remains in trouble Thursday night.
In July, the city council approved $15,500 worth of repairs for the Calkins-Macqueen house.
The mayor vetoed it for financial reasons. On Thursday night during a packed city council meeting members could not override the mayor's veto.
They talked about transferring the house to the city's historical society.
No decision was made at the meeting.
