UPDATE: Grant Taylor sentenced for death of Lansing firefighter Dennis Rodeman

Grant Taylor has received his sentencing in the case of the death of Lansing firefighter Dennis Rodeman. He will serve between 30-40 years, with a credit of 729 days for time already served.

He was sentenced on three charges:

A minimum of 43 months, no more than 100 months for failure to stop at the scene of an accident.

No less than seven months, no more than 60 months for fleeing the scene.

And no less than 360 months but no more than 480 months for second degree murder.

Grant Taylor is accused of killing Lansing firefighter Dennis Rodeman in a hit and run two years ago while firefighters were out collecting donations for charity.

On August 24th Taylor pleaded guilty to second degree murder, fleeing police, and failure to stop at the scene of accident.

The plea agreement calls for him to be sentenced to no more and no less than 30 years in prison.
