UPDATE: Google told police of child pornography

Posted

We have new information on the Howell High School teacher arraigned on child pornography charges Thursday.

The case against Duane Millar started with a tip from Google. Police say the company notified the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that Millar uploaded child porn to his google account. The center passed the information along to Michigan State Police.

A detective in the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force said Millar had hundreds of images on various devices.

Millar is not accused of using any school equipment. Investigators say there's no indication any Howell High School students were involved.
