LANSING, Mich. — We now know from Lansing Police that the 4-year-old boy found on a street Tuesday morning wandered off from his babysitter.

Police also say that the boy's mother dropped him off at his babysitter in a neighborhood on Everettdale Avenue before going to work.

Somehow the child went for a walk without the babysitter noticing.

Police found the four-year-old boy walking down Everettdale Avenue near Cedar Street in south Lansing.just before 7:30 a.m. Tuesday.

The child was held by police as they conducted a search for the child's parents.

The boy was unable to tell officers where he lived or his name, but he was wearing distinctive green and black Jurassic Park pajamas with "dinnertime" on the front.

Police did go to the neighborhood where the four-year-old was found and eventually located the sitter's house.

The mother was contacted and retrieved her child.

We have been told Child Protective Services has been contacted, however, the Lansing Police will not be filing criminal charges.
