UPDATE: Files of Lansing Diocese priest accused of assault seized in AG raid

UPDATE:
A Lansing Diocese spokesman says he is unable to list the parishes Rev. Gerl served in, because the file that contains the list was one of the files taken by the Attorney General's Office when they raided the Diocese last week. The AG is currently investigating all Michigan Catholic Diocese's in the wake of a Pennsylvania Grand Jury report that revealed decades of child sexual assault and cover ups among Catholic clergy.

ORIGINAL STORY:
A senior priest in the Catholic Diocese of Lansing had is priestly faculties removed due to a credible allegation of sexual assault.

Rev. Robert Gerl is accused of sexually assaulting an adult male decades ago, the Diocese said in a statement.
