We're learning more about the shooting that left a teen with a gunshot wound to the face Thursday night.
Police in Jackson say the shooting was an extension of a fight earlier in the day at a local high school.
Later in the day, officers responded to the area near the King Center for a report of about 20 people fighting in the street, but when they arrived, no one was fighting-- just a lot of people milling around.
Then around 9 p.m., officers were called to the same area for a report of 4-5 shots fired and two men with guns.
Officers arrived and and found a 15-year-old male with gunshot wounds to the face.
He was taken to the hospital and then transferred to Motts Children's Hospital.
Police say the injury wasn't life threatening-- it was an in-and-out wound.
No one has been arrested for the shooting as of Friday morning.
