The Clinton County Sheriff's Office has identified the driver killed in Tuesday's accident in Eagle Township.
38-year-old Nicholas Delaney of Shelbyville, formerly of Sunfield, died after rear-ending a box truck in a construction zone on I-96 near Grange Road.
The accident happened shortly after noon, impacting traffic on the highway for nearly five hours.
The driver of the truck, a 31-year-old from Ontario, Canada, was not hurt.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
