EATON COUNTY, Mich. — We have an update on the man arrested at a local sprint store and accused of having child pornography on his cell phone.
We now know exactly how Johnnie Turner was arrested at the Eaton County Sprint store.
According to court documents, Turner had gone into the store to obtain a new cell phone.
He then asked an employee to transfer the data from his old phone to a new device.
That's when an employee found an image of child pornography on Turner's original phone.
The Sprint employee immediately had his store manager call the police.
When police arrived they took Turner into custody and asked for permission to go through his old cell phone.
There police found more than 6,000 photos and videos of child pornography.
Turner has been charged with two counts of possession of child porn and one count of using a computer to commit a crime.
He is scheduled for a probable cause hearing on June 19.
