Monday morning the Lansing Police identified the bicyclist that was killed in an accident on Friday night as Joe Tucker.
Joe Luster Tucker Jr. was 59-years-old.
Police say the accident is still under investigation but that it appears the bicyclist entered the roadway and was struck.
This happened in the northbound lanes of South Cedar Street between Avon Street and Torrence Court around 8:30 p.m.
According to the Lansing Police Department, the 59-year old Lansing man died following the accident Friday night. Police confirmed that the man was drinking alcohol before driving into traffic causing the accident. No charges will be placed on the driver of the SUV.
