The Jackson County Sheriff's Office has released new information in shootings that recently took place in Jackson.
Sheriff Steve Rand reports that on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 around midnight deputies from the Jackson County Office of the Sheriff stopped a vehicle on Greenwood Street in Jackson.
There were two men in the vehicle, ages 22 and 26. Both men are from the city of Albion. The police say they were known suspects in a drive-by shooting in Jackson on High Street in the early morning hours of July 12, 2016. Police found two stolen handguns in the vehicle.
Both suspects were arrested and are at the Jackson County Jail. They could face charges for carrying a concealed weapon and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
