Two people are dead after a car swerved off the road, smashing into a tree and bursting into flames.
The accident occurred on Plains Road in Bunker Township between Meridian and Kelly road shortly before 7 a.m.
The Ingham County Sheriff's Department says they are still working to identify the two people who were killed, as well as the cause of the crash.
The sheriff's department tells us they did make contact with the owner of the vehicle, who wasn't in the car when the accident happened.
The roads were closed while the crash investigation was underway, but opened back up shortly before noon.
