University Lutheran Church invites you to a Summer Bluegrass Worship Service to be held on Sunday, August 5th at 5:00 pm on the north lawn of the church grounds. University Lutheran Church is located at 1020 South Harrison Road in East Lansing between Kalamazoo and Trowbridge Roads.
Seating will be provided, but guests are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs or blanket. There will be a free will offering, and ice cream will be served following the worship service. In case of inclement weather, the Bluegrass Service will be moved to the church sanctuary.
Pastor Gary A. Bunge will deliver the sermon and Pastor Haley Vay Beaman will preside at Communion.
Bluegrass instrumentalists are Bob McCloy – fiddle; John Dale Smith – keyboard; Don Sovey – guitar and banjo; and Justin Valla – upright bass. The service will also feature special music by our Bluegrass Singers: Pastor Haley Vay Beaman, Pastor Gary A. Bunge, Adam Krause, Will Mahoney and Janine Novenske Smith.
