Two women in hospital after overnight shooting in Lansing

Two women are in the hospital this morning after a shooting late Tuesday night on Lansing's south side.

The shooting happened on Ada Street at 11:15 p.m. Police say someone fired into a home from across the street wounding two women ages 47 and 25.

Police say the victims were not the intended targets. Police believe the shooter was aiming at someone else in the house. The intended target was not hurt and fled the house after the shooting. The victims are recovering at a local hospital. Police say their injuries are not life-threatening.
