Two men from Lansing are in police custody after an early morning assault that left the victim in critical condition.
Police were called to the 600 block of North Cedar Street just after 1:30am Wednesday. The victim, a 44-year-old Lansing man, was found bleeding from the head in the Auto Zone parking lot. He told police he was assaulted and robbed by two men.
Witnesses also saw the assault and told police the two men walked away toward the river trail. Officers were able to find the two men and took both of them into custody without incident. Police say they found evidence on the suspects, a 32-year-old and 45-year-old, that connected them to the crime.
