A suspect and his accomplices have been arrested after breaking into a home in Grass Lake Township on September 18.
Troopers from the Michigan State Police arrived at a home around 6 p.m. that day to a report of a home invasion in progress. The homeowner had just arrived home when he saw a man leaving his house with a bag. He confronted him and the suspect took off running. Witnesses helped get the troopers to an area where he was picked up by a car - but had run out of gas.
Two people from the stopped car took off into the surrounding woods when the troopers approached, but were eventually tracked down by Police K-9s.
All property stolen from the home was recovered and the suspects are in jail.
Names of those involved are being withheld pending arraignment.
