There's a new twist on a common scam.
Someone pretending to be with the state treasury department has been calling people and accusing them of tax fraud.
The caller says the person will be arrested unless they pay immediately.
This is similar to the IRS scam that happens every year around tax time.
The government will not call to demand immediate payment and it will not insist you pay over the phone.
Don't give any information out over the phone if you get a call like this.
