Truck drivers from across the state gathered in Lansing Monday speaking out against a new rule, they say, would make our roadways more dangerous.
A federal mandate will soon require every truck driver in the country to switch from paper logging to an electronic logging device.
The new system will keep track of driver's hours, making sure they're not on the road for long periods of time.
Truckers say that will force them to drive faster to make deliveries, resulting in more accidents.
The mandate is set to take effect on December 18th, but a Texas congressman has introduced a resolution to delay the rule.
We will let you know what happens.
